NATIONAL SECURITY- ENEMIES- PEACE
National security is one of the seventeen things our federal government was empowered to handle according to our U-S Constitution, and yet, our government has failed miserably with its dealings on the issue. We have the most powerful and technologically advanced military in the world, and our armed forces are the most highly trained and best equipped fighting forces in the history of mankind. We are, quite frankly, unmatched! And yet, our politicians have turned us into a paper tiger in the eyes of the rest of the world - diplomacy with no consequences, deadlines ignored and rules of engagement that make grown men cry.
That's one example.
I've already laid out elsewhere, where our politics have placed our fates in the hands of communist countries and oil rich nations, who both hold the on-off switch to our nation's
finances and economic engine and with it, the power and strength of our military.
That's example number two.
And now they refuse to protect our us from an all out invasion to our south. Millions upon millions of invaders and its been going on for decades! Not only is it causing a social upheaval in our country and breaking the economies of states, but its costing American lives. This is outrageous! The number one responsibility of our central government is to protect its people, and to protect their liberty and freedoms. Tell that to the Arizona rancher who was shot dead on his own property, or to the countless other Americans at the wrong end of violence from these illegal aliens. And how about those thousands of square miles of Arizona now off-limits to Americans because the federal government can no longer protect citizens on our own American land.
That's example three, and the last straw!
Whether its the residents from poorer countries wanting to find work to send money back home...or the drug cartels pushing their drugs and violence across the border..or the foreign terrorist cells slipping by with the rest of the crowds, it still remains a violation to our nation's sovereignty and a threat to our citizens' safety. We are a nation of laws, and for our country to remain strong, the laws must be maintained.
There is not a single nation on Earth, that does not enforce its borders and in many cases using deadly force.. To overrun one's borders is a serious offense in any country, including the ones the majority of these people come from. And while people are dying, violence skyrocketing and state's economies are in shambles, our federal government and our Congress has turned it into a political game. They have actually publicly stated that they WON'T do anything about securing the borders UNTIL they get their comprehensive immigration reform package passed. Remove politics and the solution is simple.
You want to come to our country for temporary work, you come in legally. You follow
our rules, laws and customs, and you leave when the work is through. If you sneak across our borders illegally, you will pay the price just like any other lawbreaker.
First a physical border fence is erected along the entire border with a cement wall buried below ground to prevent tunneling. Along with the border police patrolling the fence, I want armed national guardsmen guarding the fence, lending emphasis to the meaning of the fence.
A 2000 mile fence patrolled by two guardsman responsible for one mile -times two 12 hour shifts makes for 8000 guardsmen on the fence with an additional 2000 guardsmen on station
along regional sectors of the fence for "quick deployment backup" using helicopters. And both border patrol and guardsmen will be given orders to use any means necessary to stop illegal incursion. The more than 20-million illegals will then be officially and publicly ordered to return home within 60 days or face five years in prison. A crackdown on employers who hire illegal's will simultaneously sweep through the states, with businesses, companies and private individuals who hire illegal's fined heavily enough to get their attention and stop the practice. The policy of anchor babies will be abolished. No more duel citizenship for babies of foreign nationals born in this country. Finally, I don't believe in breaking up families either, so Illegal families caught who have babies already born here and possessing duel citizenship, fine, you ALL go back to your home and when your baby is 21, has completed his education and has learned English, he will be more than welcome to come back in.
Another incentive for the illegals to hurry back home to their country, is so they can be first in line to apply with their government for temporary worker permits for the U-S and obtain a bio-metric picture ID card that the U-S will provide Mexican and Central American governments. Then American employers in need of temporary or full time help, will list their openings with each country and workers can then apply for those openings. The bio-metric photo ID's will have an employee number and those businesses advertising for help with a free 800-number to call will have an employer number to give to the alien worker. Now you're a legal temporary worker. You can show up at any of our legal ports of entry, present your ID card along with the employer number, and you're free to enter, LEGALLY, but if you violate any of our laws, your card will be taken away permanently! Only workers. Not families. None of America's social assistance programs will be available to non-citizens, and healthcare services will be paid by their employers if injured on the job, and by the worker if it occurs on their own time.
In regards to the way our country deals with the rest of the world, I think there needs to be a review made on what has worked in our history and what has not worked in recent history.
I believe in diplomacy as much as the next guy, but here's where I'm different. Diplomacy should be used whenever possible, and for as long as possible to achieve the goals or reach a mutually acceptable compromise. BUT, in issues regarding national security or imminent threat, both ours or with other countries that we have defense treaties with, that diplomacy should have a clock attached to it. Deadlines are just that, deadlines. And deadlines missed should have consequences. And whatever consequences have been made public or otherwise should be delivered. Once diplomacy or negotiation deadlines have passed, they are not reopened. Consequences begin. Finally, if we believe the imminent threat is so great as to put our armed forces into harm's way, then our devil dogs of war should be unleashed without restriction so that our military action can be swift, complete and decisive! Our enemy should come out of it saying never again and others in the shadows will think twice. That's deterrent.
The problem we continually face is this. A decent, honorable, law-abiding people such as ourselves, cannot survive by trying to apply those same standards to the evil that's waiting for us in the world's darkness. And make no mistake about it, evil is real and it resides in this world! For our survival's sake, we must accept the fact that there are people out there that have no comprehension of those civilized terms or our way of life. There are people out there who live off the suffering of other people, who use violence and viciousness as a way of life and to get what they want. They see apologies, diplomacy, and negotiations as signs of weakness. They only respect force and strength. And they will continue with their violent, vicious march toward their stated goals and victory -
Until we learn this lesson, and until we learn that once the dogs have been unleashed
politics must now stand aside until an outcome has been decided, we are destined for
a continuation of wars that will stretch out for years on end. It's the politicians and their
continual meddling, grandstanding and their lack of resolve...it's the politicians and their demand that we wage war humanely, and in a politically correct way, always considerate of our enemy's feelings and their human rights... that's responsible for the unacceptable mounting numbers of U-S war casualties! Let our armed forces do the job they were trained to do.... to swiftly, completely and decisively kick ass with extreme prejudice bringing about a quick conclusion, so they can come home early and victorious!
